It's our Birthday

We celebrated our Facebook Birthday on 24th April – 2 years since it was set up by Kate Brown.

• Watlington got a refill store on the High Street with So Sustainable opening its doors

• WCAG website launched

• Nature Festival, including walks, craft and well-being workshops, apple pressing and hedgehog workshop

• Remembrance wreath made out of upcycled plastic bottles

• Recycling talk

• Christmas tree featuring the "G"reen Plan

• Green Plan update event and Hedgerow film showing

• Wind energy talk

• Draft excluders project started

• Thermal imaging project for 50 homes

• Green Investing talk

• Electric Vehicles event

• Lobbying to improve road verges

• Raising awareness and knowledge of wildlife gardening

• Mapping land-owners and habitats in the Parish

• The Lovely Stuff, The Orange Bakery, Jazzman Records and Tutu Delicious achieve Plastic Free Champion Status

• 10 community groups join us as Plastic Free Allies

• Over 50 blogs written on our website

• Regular articles in the Watlington Times and Henley Standard

• Supported campaigns on the Climate & Ecological Emergency Bill, Second Hand September, and Plastic Free July

• Designed and delivered a flyer to houses in Watlington on energy-saving tips

• Set up a Climate Advisory Board with the Watlington Parish Council to advise on WPC actions
