NICOLA SCHAFER

WCAG Founder and Chair

Nicola is a founding member of the Watlington Climate Action Group. She has experience of marketing and
project management from her first career as a product manager, and now works as a photographer and film
maker.

KEITH JACKSON

WCAG Co-Treasurer

Keith’s background is in science and software development.  He coordinates and leads conservation work parties for Friends of Watlington Hill and is a member of Watlington Hill Advisory Group. He is also Treasurer of Watlington in Bloom.

ANDREA SMITH

WCAG Co-Secretary

Andrea is an administrator at Oxford University, where she is a member of the departmental Sustainability Committee working to reduce the carbon footprint at work. She is also a ceramic artist and is a member of the local ‘Town Haul’ artist group.

JEANETTE WOOSTER

WCAG Co-Secretary

Jeanette is a Catchment Coordinator for the Environment Agency, working to improve the water environment, currently works in the Evenlode catchment in the Cotswolds. She started with the Agency after completing an Environment Management MSc.

TERRY JACKSON

WCAG Steering Group Member and Plastic Free Project Lead

Terry is a councillor on Watlington Parish Council and is on the Neighbourhood Plan Advisory Board.  She runs Watlington in Bloom and the Watlington Transport Group. Terry formed and runs the Friends of Watlington Hill with husband Keith and a member of the Watlington Hill Advisory Group.

FIONA DANKS

WCAG Steering Group Member and Green Plan Project Lead

Fiona studied Ecology at University and went on to work for the local Wildlife Trust in environmental education.  She then worked for Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE), providing grants to support local communities and the environment.

JULES BISHOP

WCAG Steering Group Member & Art Project Lead

Jules is an artist and a carer who tries to live as sustainably as possible and is passionate about developing sustainable art materials. She is also part of the Watlington Artweek’s ‘Town Haul’ team, who create community-engaged, climate change themed installations from natural and recycled materials.

Plastic Free Watlington Lead

Lucy works as a statistical analyst for the NHS. She has also worked in research and statistics in the charity, local authority and central government sectors

TOM ROBINSON

Homes & Energy Co-Lead

Tom works in the international aid sector as an access and emergency specialist. He has spent the past ten years working in conflict zones, leading teams in the delivery of critical aid programmes

Sophie is a management accountant and has worked in various sectors with organisations such as the NHS, pharmaceutical research, marketing consultancy, and other service companies.

STEPH VAN DE PETTE

WCAG Trading Arm (So Sustainable Refill Store)

Steph is a chartered environmentalist having worked in not-for-profits, consultancies and construction for the past 13 years.  In 2019 she founded SO Sustainable, Watlington’s very own zero waste refill store and is actively engaged in the local community.

WCAG IT and Social Media Coordinator

Satnam has over 25 years of experience employed at multinational technology companies. Providing Senior Strategic leadership in Cloud Technologies, Standards & Security. He is also an active Artist and Ceramicist in the local Art community.
